MUSCAT Andrew Phillip. Jan. 5, 1961 ~ Nov. 13, 2013. It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Andrew (Andy) Muscat age 52. Andy was born to Mary Muscat and the late Richard Muscat, January 5, 1961 in Ocean Falls, BC. Andy spent his early years in New Westminster, attending F.W. Howay Elementary School, St. Thomas More High School and later Douglas College. Andrew excelled in sports and was a natural athlete; he played lacrosse for the New Westminster Salmonbellies and won the B.C. and National Championships. He also played hockey for the New Westminster Royals.

Andy moved to Eastern Canada in 1984 to train and serve in the Canadian Military. Later he graduated from Humber College, in Toronto as a millwright and worked in the area for over a decade. He returned to Abbotsford/Vancouver BC in 2006.

Andy is survived by his mother (Mary), daughter (Lisa), and seven siblings, (Mary, Teresa, Paul, Christopher, Anne, Margaret and Joan), ten nieces/ nephews and two great nieces/ nephews. Our family is grateful for the compassion and care that Andy received in his last hours from the wonderful ICU staff at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver. A celebration of life for Andy Phillip Muscat, will be held Sunday, December 8, 3:00 - 5:30 pm at Queen's Park Centennial Lodge, New Westminster. Those wishing to honor Andy are invited to attend his celebration of life.
