SMITH; Archie John. May 26, 1939 ~ June 4, 2014. Archie passed away at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on June 4th. He was born in Lindsay, Ontario. He was an avid hockey player as a kid and loved “Hockey Night in Canada”. Archie was raised on a large farm in Ontario and moved to BC when he was 20 years old to work on the pipeline as a pipeline welder. While working in Hope in 1960 he married Margaret Lynn and they had three children Shannon, Donald and Shaun. Archie took his family and travelled the world as a welder in his early years. He was an avid reader, storyteller and always had a book to read. Archie had 7 grandchildren; Troy, Trevin, Tawnya, Marlee, Jessica, Liam and Seamus, two daughters-in-law; Barb and Natalie and son-in-law Dean.
