Mr Arthur (Art) Mah, of Abbotsford, BC passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2022 at the age of seventy.
Art is survived by his partner Beverly Alting and his daughters: Staci Mah, Colleen Geerlinks and Jaimee Mah Leystra. He is also survived by his two sons-in-law: Bryan Geerlinks, Braden Leystra and his five grandchildren: Aidan Cutting, Josh Cutting, Ben Geerlinks, Matthew Geerlinks and Lily Leystra. Art also enjoyed spending time with Bev's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Art was a teacher for School District #34 in Abbotsford, BC for 39 years. He worked at South Poplar Elementary, King Elementary, Ten Broeck Elementary, Chief Dan George Elementary and Terry Fox Elementary schools. He loved his job and enjoyed teaching the children so much.
During retirement, Art also enjoyed many adventures with "The Abbotsford Walking/Hiking and More" Meet-up Group. Countless pictures of Art during outdoor activities, illustrate his enthusiasm as the ultimate Outdoorsman. He loved hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, target shooting and more!
On August 2, 2022, there was a Celebration of Art's Life at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, in Abbotsford, BC. An Interment service for Art will be held later at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby, BC.
