June 28, 1926 - March 3, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother on March 3rd, 2025, at TRIM in Mission, BC, she was 98 years old. Born in Bochum, German on June 28, 1926.
Catherine is survived by her son George Hammerstein (Shelley), daughter Dorothea Sigurdson (Ivan), son-in-law Bill Hepler (Ruth); grandchildren Chrissy Tenerelli (Mike), Laura Sigurdson (Josh), Lisa Sigurdson (Jason), Dan Hepler (Theraesa), Eric Hepler (Amber); great-grandchildren Litha, Bay, Theo, Ray, Felix, and Elliot.
She was predeceased by her husband Christoph Hammerstein (died 2003) and daughter Margaret Hepler (died 2000).
Mom was a loving, caring person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was always willing to lend a hand. She was an avid knitter and after retiring as a librarian, she enjoyed her time on the farm and volunteering at the Hospital Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial Service will be held at 11am on April 4th at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, Mission, BC.
