In Loving Memory of Cathleen Peetoom
February 23, 1912 ~ July 6, 2015
Cathleen moved to her forever home in heaven, on July 16th, 2015, at the age of 103. She passed into Heavenly glory exactly 10 years after the burial and memorial of her beloved husband of 63 years, Pieter Peetoom. Cathleen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Lenard and Leona; her 4 grandchildren Sherry (Devin), Cameron (Melissa), Heather (John), and Brad (Elin); 4 great grand- children Marayah, Luci-Ann, Charlie, and Levi; the Peetoom and Romeyn families, as well as many loving friends and church members.
Cathleen enjoyed a wonderful life here in Canada. Her and her husband immigrated from Holland in 1950 and settled in Mission, BC. They successfully operated Peetoom's Florist and Greenhouses where Cathleen arranged and sold beautiful flowers from their greenhouses. After retirement, she and her husband settled in Abbotsford. Cathleen was a wonderful baker and cook, and was known for her exceptional seamstress skills. She was a committed Christian and founding member of Gateway Community Church. A private family graveside service was held on July 22, 2015 followed by a memorial service at Gateway Community Church.
