SAVAGE, Rev. Cecil
Born October 14, 1925, entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on March 22, 2011. Predeceased by his wife Joan of 49 years; he is survived by his children David (Becky), Debbie (Todd) Payne, Stephen (Debbie), Darryl (Karen) and Peter (Katie); siblings Joy (Hugh) Muller and George; 14 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. After his commitment to our country in WW II, Cecil served the Lord faithfully as a pastor for 50 years - 15 of which were with the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church as well as Legion Chaplain in Mission. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends and he will be remembered for his humour, gentle charm, welcoming spirit and the ability to lighten peoples' hearts. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 2nd at 1:00 pm at Hatzic Cemetery, 34867 Cemetery Road, Mission. A celebration of his homegoing will follow at 2:00 pm at North- side Community Church, 33507 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Mission. Rev. Bruce Ray will officiate.
