Cecil (Steve) Stevens

On May 30, 2017 Cecil (Steve) Stevens left to be reunited with the love of his life, Violet Stevens, who predeceased him on July 27, 2014. Cecil was born on September 14, 1934. He met Violet in 1954 and they wed in 1958. Cecil and Vi packed up their three children in 1966 and moved to Canada. After many more moves they settled in Mission, BC in 1973, where they remained. Though Dad loved his rugby, cricket and being involved in Mission Minor Hockey, to Dad his family was his greatest treasure. He recognized we were all individuals and supported each of us for who we were and gave his love unconditionally. Left behind to remember with pride are his children; Karen Stevens, Fiona Stevens, Paul Stevens and Oscar Isakson, his grandchildren; Sheri Preston (Aaron), Kurtis Isakson (Serena), Amanda Stevens, Lara Isakson (Lyndsay) and Nels Isakson, great grandchildren; Emily, Nathan, Dawson, Jade and Kaden. Cecil also leaves behind sisters; Jean Horner and Cindy Joy (Dave), sister-in-law Lynda Coleman, brothers-in-law, Fred Harvey and Dyck Saunderson, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Dad was proud of the accomplishments of each and everyone. He will also be sorely missed buy his companion for the last year Jean O'Rourke. We will be gathering in Cecil's honor on June 17, 2017 at Heritage Park, Mission, 1:00 to 4:00, for remembrances and laughter. In lieu of flowers, donations many be made to Parkinson Canada or the charity of your choice.

We love you Dad, Granddad, Steve, Uncle Steve.
