YASSINSKY, Charlotte, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 15, 2013, at the Menno Hospital, at the age of 92. She was born in Scotland in 1920 and was predeceased by Stanley, her husband of 48 years. Charlotte is survived by her children, David Yassinsky and Fiona Ehrenholz and her grandchildren, Dallas, Natasha, Kaitlyn, Jessica and Adrian. Charlotte trained in Scotland to become a Registered Nurse, as well as a midwife and she walked for miles in the countryside, delivering babies in people's homes. She loved her work and when she came to Canada, she continued her career as a public health nurse. In her retirement years, her love of animals led her and her husband Stan to purchase a hobby farm with many different birds, a donkey, a sheep and a goat. (which they enjoyed thoroughly). She will be missed and remembered fondly for her love of music, (shaking her tambourine, playing her mouth organ and singing), her ability to see good in everything, her strong and unwavering faith in God and passionate love for Jesus. Viewing and a Celebration of Life in her honour will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, July 24, in the chapel of Menno Hospital, 32945 Marshall Rd., in Abbotsford. Interment to follow, at Mt. Lehman Cemetery. Sincere thanks to the staff of Menno Hospital for their loving, yet professional care.
