Daryl passed away peacefully at the Christine Morrison Hospice at the Mission Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband, Allan; son Tod (Maria); daughter Heather (René); grandchildren Craig, Wayne, Kristine and Michelle. Many relatives, including Agnes (her mother-in-law – 100 years old), Ray and Phyl, Lorna and Fred, Ella and Fred, Don and Rose, Len and Linda, Fred, Helen and Al and many nieces and nephews will miss her good natured humor, kindness and wit. Her older Âbrother Almond will also mourn her loss. Daryl was pre-deceased by her parents. She was also predeceased by her sons Lindsay in 1974 and Wayne in 1981, both in tragic accidents. Daryl will be missed by all the friends she made while living at Crown Point Villas. She enjoyed all activities and in particular her association with the Social Club. Daryl was a kind and considerate person, a classy, feisty lady, gifted with musical talents. Many years were spent at Birch Bay Leisure Park and numerous trips we made to Palm Springs in an effort to improve her golf game which she enjoyed.
The family would like to thank the entire care team including Dr. Cochlin, Dr. Mitchell Liu, Home Care nurses and staff at the Christine Morrision Hospice for their respectful and caring support which made this journey easier.
At Daryl’s request no service will be held. A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Daryl’s memory.
