David Jonathan Hughes, 31, passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident. David was born in Maple Ridge, BC to Betty Ann and Patrick Hughes. He attended Mission Secondary School and graduated in 2004. David loved to play hockey and lacrosse as a teenager. He was known for his passion of inline rollerblading, which had him competing around the world. David met his girlfriend Shyla and little Emma last year and fell deeply in love with both of them. They brought so much joy to his life. David will be remembered by his loyalty to friends and family and for his contagious laughter. David will be dearly missed by Shyla and Emma, his parents, brothers; James and Robert, Auntie Linda May, many friends, family and his beloved dog Chase. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission, BC.
