April 16, 1951 - April 21, 2022
The family of Donald Turcotte is saddened to announce his passing on April 21st 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Donald was born on April 16th 1951 in Les Boules, Quebec. In 1979 he followed in his brother John's footsteps and made the cross country move to BC where he settled in Mission and remained until his death.
Donald is lovingly remembered as a Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Brother-in-law and friend. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Rose of 36 years, his daughter Kristy, son Derick (Christina) and grandchildren Joey, Kiana, Jayla, Jacob, Raiden, Donovan and Silas that he was so proud of and loved to spend time with. They all held very special places in his heart.
Donald very much enjoyed being out in nature, was an avid walker and an almost daily visitor to the walking trails near his home. In summer he was often out on the water paddling in his inflatable boat just taking in the beautiful scenery.
Another hobby he was known to enjoy was creating beautiful stained glass windows which we will treasure.
Donald bravely passed from this life with grace and dignity. He was very much at peace and expressed his love for all of us, his "tribe."
As he drew his last breaths and his soul passed into the beautiful pastel colours he spoke of, he was supported and surrounded with the love of his family.
Donald, we are so thankful for every day we have had with you. We will miss you, cherish your memory and be inspired by the incredible person you were.
Forever in our hearts until we meet again.....
No service by request but donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory would be gratefully welcomed.
