CLARKE
Donna Clarke passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009 at the age of seventy-two. Donna leaves behind, Les, her loving husband of fifty-five years, five children and their families: daughters, Kathy and husband, Al, Debbie and husband, Ron, Cheryl and husband, Jed, and sons, Rob and wife, Roxann, Rick and wife, Robin. Donna was a devoted grandma to thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Casey (Jeremy) and Bryce Lefleur, Lee Coutts, Colby and Sarah Alison, Jenni-lee, Chris, Katelyn, & Kari Ann Brown, Chad, Megan and Madison Clarke and Blake and Shauna Clarke. She is predeceased by her father, Hank Johnson and her sister Eileen Burgess and is survived by mother Jeanne Johnson, brothers, Les (Marilyn) Johnson, Guy (Lorraine) Johnson, Rob (Adrienne) Johnson, sister, Karen (Tom) Puckett and sister-in-law Vera (Bob) White.
Mom will always be remembered as a loving lady who put everyone else before herself. A long-time resident of Hatzic Prairie, she was an avid gardener who enjoyed her flowers and having a large vegetable garden that she loved to share with all of us. She will be forever remembered for her delicious cooking, always making large family dinners for at least twenty-five of us or more. She also loved to paint and make beautiful crafts. She always had a very large tree completely decorated with home-made Christmas ornaments. Visitors coming every year to pick out their Christmas tree from their farm would be treated to beautiful wreaths and Christmas decorations that Mom loved to create.
Donna's family would like to thank Dr. Keenan, Dr. Holm, Dr. Brown, Phillip and the rest of the very caring and thorough nursing staff at Royal Columbian ICU.
Friends and family are invited to a special gathering at Hatzic Prairie Community Hall at 10845 Farms Road in Mission, Saturday, January 24th at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation could be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
