McKAMEY, Doreen Grace (nee - McDonald)
1932 - 2010
Doreen "Mona" passed away suddenly at her home in Dewdney, BC on July 10, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Born in Mission to Dougal and Lena McDonald, Mona lived her entire life in Dewdney, and married the love of her life, Norman Oliver McKamey in 1952 and began to build her family. She loved to entertain, both her large family which she was incredibly proud of and her many lifelong friends who will greatly miss her happy, generous spirit and her "open door policy". Mona was predeceased by her husband, Norman and her brothers, Joe and Dick. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons; Howie (Mary Lynne), David (Shelly), Dana (Carla) and Gordon (Heather); her thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Mary McDonald; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. A service to celebrate Mona's life will be held at the Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, 32840 Janzen Ave., Mission, BC on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home (604) 826-9548
