Doris passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at The Residence in Mission at the age of 102.
She was born on September 20, 1915 in Lindal in Furness, England. From a young age she was a devout Christian and gave back to the church however she could. She married Richard Hodgson in 1945 and they were farmers in Lancashire for many years. She was part of the Women's Land Army during WWII. They moved to Canada in 1983 to be closer to their family.
Doris is survived by her grandchildren; Nathan Selvaraja (Laura) and Naomi Selvaraja-Fossett (Brent), son-in-law Ken Selvaraja, great grandchildren Kelly & Kiran Selvaraja-Fossett and Lily & Olivia Selvaraja. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, son Raymond and daughter Sandra Selvaraja.
A Memorial Service will he held on Saturday, August 18th at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 8469 Cedar St., Mission, BC with a tea to follow.
