RIEDLINGER
Doris Meryl (nee Hyde)
Died peacefully on the morning of October 6th. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, her sister Gwennie, her brothers Norman and Ken and her half brothers Bruce and Joe. She leaves behind her daughter Shannon(Hermann) son Kerry(Rosemarie), her grandchildren Elise, and Shandel; her step - grandsons Hans and family, Manfred (Lisa) and Ron (Debbie) and step - great - grandchildren Caylen, Grayson, Lorelei and Kelly.
Doris and her family moved to Abbotsford in 1939, from Manitoba. During the war, she trained as a nurse at St. Paul's in Vancouver and St Luke's in Bellingham Washington, and later she worked at the Cannon Clinic. Doris and Al had a good life together, traveling to Europe and the States and sailing in their 22 foot sloop that Al built.
A celebration of her life will follow. The family would like to thank Dr. Milne, Abbotsford Hospital, Peace Arch Hospital and staff at Morgan Heights.
