April 10, 2019
Edward Peter Herman, 78 of Maple Ridge/Mission, B.C. passed away peacefully on April 10, 2019 with his family at his side.

Ed, son of Peter and Helen Herman is survived by his wife Janice of 47 years, his sons Clint, Chad and Tyler, grandkids Jazzlynn, Brookelyn, Jacob, Emily, Austyn, Haile and Kayla.

Ed was a loving and supportive brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone. Ed had a love for baseball, he built his own ball field at his old 240th home. He had a gift, he could coach, which he did for all 3 sons and many of their friends. He was a great provider for his family and set the bar high. Helped whenever he could and was honoured when nominated and then awarded a "Good Samaritan" Certificate from the Governor General for going above and beyond caring for others. This may explain why he was always late. Ed was a very strong man, both in faith and in physical strength, a role model for all that witnessed him work, or the way he treated others. He prided himself for his ability and will to out- work anyone.

Edward, the eldest child of 8, brother to Al, Pete, Ron, Dori, Cindy, Terry and Wendy.

Ed was proud to be a part owner in R&E Cedar Products with his brothers Ron and Pete, a family run business in Albion. Later in his career Ed worked up at Stave Lake with his sons and close family cutting shake blocks. He loved the outdoors, loved our family fishing trips, and still somehow found time to tend to his garden.

Ed will be greatly missed, Dad Rest In Peace, Our Hero, Our Strength, Our Father.

A special Thank You to the Nursing staff at Abbotsford Hospital ICU for their loving care for Ed and support for our family during this difficult time.
