ZALESKY, Edward “Ed”, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on September 3, 2009 with his family at his side. Ed lived an interesting, busy and active life, and his love for aviation was almost as passionate as his love for Rose. Ed’s aviation career spanned an entire lifetime, and was full of adventures and good friendships. Ed, along with Rose and 3 close friends founded the Canadian Museum of Flight and Transportation in the 1970’s. He will be sadly missed by his family, and by his many friends, neighbors and colleagues. Ed was always known as “Mr. Positive”, and was a tireless cheerleader for cancer survivors, having successfully tackled the disease himself on several occasions. Ed is survived by his wife Rose, son Mark (Valerie), daughter April, grandchildren Griffon and Kestrel, and nephew Mansel Hambly and family. An informal Celebration of Life will be held on Sept. 15 at 4:00 pm at the Crescent Legion, 2643 -128th Street, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers you may wish to make a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research. Condolences email zalesky@telus.net
