Known as Betty to all, born in Strathroy, Ontario on February 02, 1924 she was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Betty lived a simple but fulfilling life.
She was a master of many things including cooking, baking and canning. She enjoyed gardening. Betty loved sports and knew all the teams and players names. She was a self taught seamstress. She loved yarn, from knitting to petty point.
The cabin at Stave Lake she and her husband Al built, was where she enjoyed many years. In her retirement, she travelled with her husband Al for 4-5 months a year in their motor home. She made friends fast and kept them for life. Betty was a gentle soul that everyone loved.
Betty and her husband were residents of Mission for 30 years, upon his passing she sold the family home and moved into Carrington Retirement Residence in Mission, BC and lived there happily for 5 years.
Betty passed away peacefully on Oct 08, 2020 with family by her side.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 62 years in 2008. She is survived by 2 daughters; Marilyn Boyce and Bev Tully (Ken), 3 grandchildren; Kerri Boyce (Felix), JJ Tully and Nikki Tully (Bill) and 4 great grandchildren; Kris, Shayne, Tyler and Logan
At Betty's request there will be no funeral services held, her ashes will be spread along the shore line of Stave Lake, in Mission, BC at a later date.
