LARSON
Esther Mary
April 28, 1914 ~ December 23, 2008
Esther Larson was the daughter of Herman and Rose Eleanor Karstad and grew up on the homestead at Churchbridge, Saskatchewan. She married Arthur Bennett Larson October 19, 1938 and they raised their family of four on the same homestead. They spent a short time in Saskatoon, Sask. before moving to Abbotsford in 1974 where she spent the rest of her life.
She is predeceased by her husband Bennett and her parents Herman and Nellie and step-father Harry Martin, also her oldest sister Elsie Bentley. Missing her now are her two sons, Mervin (Barbara) Larson and Calvin (Dorothy) Larson; two daughters, Donna (Louis) Reles and Darlene Larson also by 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are two sisters, Corrine Purves and Irma Larson as well as two brothers, Lars (Martha) Karstad and Dean (Amey) Karstad; brother-in-law, Everett (Marie) Larson and one sister-in-law, Lila Larson and extended families.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
