FOWLE, EVAN RICHARD

It is with great sadness the Fowle family announces the peaceful passing of our husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Evan Richard Fowle, after a short battle with cancer. Evan was born on May 4, 1935 in Vancouver and passed peacefully on December 4, 2008 with his family nearby. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ethel (nee: Reddeman), three sons, Lyle (Sherry) of Salmon Arm, BC, Kevin (Ashley) of Mission, BC and Michael (Debbie) of White Lake, BC; six grandchildren, Angela Pickens (Chris), Tasha Forseth (Charlie), Jamie Hatch (Michelle), Amanda , Kelani and Julie Lim; sister Arlene Shaw of Coquitlam, BC and several nieces and nephews.

Evan and Ethel were married May 13, 1961 at St. Joseph's Church, Mission, BC and raised three beautiful sons. He worked on the Iron Workers Bridge in the 1950's and recalls the collapse of that bridge very clearly even though he was not there when it happened. Evan was quite the car buff owning several cars throughout his life, his proudest being his '66 Charger which earned several trophies and plaques. Evan loved life, his family and his dog, Niki. He loved helping others and will be dearly missed by all. An open-house, Celebration of Evan's Life, will be held at the family home in Deroche at the Oasis Modular Park on Saturday, December 13, 2008 beginning at 12 noon.
