Gerald was predeceased by his wife Ruth and his grandson Joey, he is survived by his two children Dwaine and Shawna (Mike), his granddaughter Brittany (David), his great-grandchildren Rhett and Liv, his 2 step-grandchildren Doug and Dennis, and the rest of his family and friends.
Gerald was born in Irricana, Alberta on March 7,1935. He was married to Ruth (Schmidt) on October 24, 1959; they were married for 53 years, until Ruth's passing in 2013.
Gerald lived in Abbotsford from 1969 to 2024; he was a valued member of the community, he loved people and helped in any way he could. Gerald enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 2, at 11:00 am at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.
