1939-2021 ~ Mr. Gerrit Vaandrager, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed into glory on Sept 2, 2021 at the age of 81 at ARH.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice, son Calvin (Diane), son Mark (Susan), son DR (Angela), daughter Carol (Keith), 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as extended family and friends.
Born in Holland in 1939 he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1950. Gerrit and Janice raised their family on their dairy farm where he remained active until his death. Gerrit was a founding member of Living Hope CRC where he served many terms as an elder.
He served his community on the boards of Community Services, Agrifair, Abbotsford Christian School, as well as volunteering at ARH. His servant heart will be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 13:00 at Living Hope CRC on Old Clayburn Road.
