Gordon Earle Dolman

1929 - 2017

IIt is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Dad and Poppa, Gordon Earle Dolman, due to complications following routine surgery, at 3:11 am on Friday, April 7th, 2017, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Dad was surrounded by the love of his five children, Barb, Cathy, Geoff, Alison and Rob, their spouses and three of his granddaughters as he went to go dancing with our Mom. Dad was born in Chilliwack, B.C. in 1929, eldest of six children, to Bert and Margery Dolman. He was predeceased by his beloved wife June Isabell Dolman (Watson) on July 22, 2011, and his sisters Donna, Marlene and Fay; he is survived by brothers Ray and Ron. Mourning his loss are his adoring children, nine grandchildren - Ryan, Ashley, Justin, Jillian, Madison, Erica, Sydney, Landri and Grant - and one great grandson, Liam. Also mourning, is his special friend, Fran Kennedy, who brought companionship and love to the most recent years of his life. We especially wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to the ICU Team - Doctors Liu, Ahmed and McLean; Nurses Miho, Darla, Amanda, Leanne, Janine, Monica and Fiona; and Respiratory Technician Deryk - for their expertise, tender care of Dad and compassion for our family. Thanks also to Dr. Holden Chow for his concern and care of both Dad and Mom over the years; his words brought us comfort in these heartbreaking days. Out of respect for Dad's wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held with family and closest friends. Donations in memory of Dad to the Abbotsford Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society (in support of Mom and Fran) would be gratefully acknowledged.
