Gord was predeceased by his first wife Anne in 1984. Gord was a proud veteran of the second world war, serving with the “Calgary Highlanders” in Europe after D-day. As a faithful Legion member Gord always attended Remembrance Day services. Gord was a logger for 45 years and was a man’s man with the disposition of a “Gentle Ben”. Gord lived many years on Vancouver Island, Mission and the last eight years in Kelowna close to his son Wayne. A “Celebration of Life” with a luncheon will be held at 4160 June Springs Rd., Kelowna, BC on May 25th, 2013 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the hospice of your choice.
Rather than mourn the absence of the flame let us celebrate how brightly it burned.
