Gwilym Owen “Bud”

Bud passed peacefully on April 9, 2007 at age 85. Survived by Louise (nee Berridge), his wife of 58 years; sons Syd and Owen; daughter-in-law Lynda (McManus); and nieces Kathleen, Susan, Louise, Marie and Paulette. Born October 4, 1921 in Port Coquitlam, Bud spent his first two years on Cod Island in Pitt Meadows before moving to Murrayville, near Langley. After serving overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces in World War II, Bud returned to Langley. He lived there until 1961, when he moved his young family to Mission after being named manager of Valley Lumber, which later became Beaver Lumber. A member of Langley Kinsmen and then Mission Kinsmen, as well as the Rotary Club of Mission, he also belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion.

Funeral service on Monday, April 16 at 11:00 am, All Saints Anglican Church, 33077 2nd Ave., Mission.
