1940 - 2016
Hallene, or Lallie, as she was affectionately known, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2016 at the age of 76. Born and raised in Murrayville BC, Lallie lived the better part of the next 30 years in France and Quebec before moving to Abbotsford in 1987 with her two young sons, where she taught high school French for many years. A devoted single mother, she sacrificed so much so that her children could be happy. Lallie loved the arts, especially theatre and literature. Her boundless energy inspired us all. She is survived by her 2 sons Julien and Emmanuel; daughter-in-law Tiffany; 3 cherished grandsons Curtis, Derek and Jason; and brother Ed. A celebration of Lallie's life will be held on June 9, 2016 at 2pm at the Old Clayburn Schoolhouse, 4315 Wright St. in Clayburn Village, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
