Harold Thomas
April 28, 1917 - Oct. 24, 2005
Harold Thomas Oates was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and passed away peacefully at Mission Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice in 2002, and is survived by daughters Carol (Frank) Basilio of Stoney Creek, Ontario, Susan Oates (Tom Poulton) of Mission, BC and Heather Oates (Tom Yaoutsis) of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren Dana, Sean, Berwin, Kale and Athena; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Harold was a Royal Canadian Air Force Pilot for over 25 years, and he trained fighter pilots during WWII. Harold and his family lived in British Columbia for the last 35 years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission, BC.
