Hazel Roberta Clark Todd, born October 20, 1916, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 11:15 am with her two sons, Randy and Trevor Todd, by her side. Raised in Silverdale, Hazel was part of a large family and close community. She was an extremely nurturing soul who never turned down a person in need. As well as having a long career as a psychiatric nurse, Hazel gave of herself to anyone who needed her. Her joyful social touch, nonjudgemental advice, and calming graces were the light of many peoples' lives. She will be missed greatly and in our hearts forever.
Hazel is predeceased by loving husband Reg, brothers Gilmour, Ken, and Gordon, and sister Evelyn. She is survived by brother Wallace, sons Randy (Bev) and Trevor (Judy); grandchildren Rachel (Kevin), Erica (Craig), Travis (Kindra), Leah, Jackson, Kelsey, Brittany, Lachie; great-grandchildren Holly, Megan, Emily, Paige, Trigg and Parker; and many devoted nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at St. Andrews United Church on Grand Street in Mission on Saturday, November 24, 2007, at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow. Donations to a charity in lieu of flowers please.
