MARTENS -Heinrich (Henry) Jacob. May 23, 1926 ~ May 16, 2011. Henry Martens passed away peacefully into the presence of Jesus on May 16, 2011 after a long period of ailing health. He is predeceased by his first wife, Helen (Teske) Martens, his parents, Jacob & Sara Martens, along with other brother and sisters-in-laws. He is survived by his wife, Anna (Braun) Martens, his siblings, Kay (Martens) Johnson, Jake Martens and wife Sarah, Erna (Martens) Thiessen, and John Martens and wife Susan, and his three children, Viola (Martens) Pickering and her husband Brian Pickering, Harold Martens and his wife Lynn (Siemens) Martens, Edward Martens and his wife Patricia (Jaques) Jaques-Martens, and seven grandsons, Stefan Martens, Jason Martens, Justin Martens, Jonathan Martens, James Martens, Sheldon Pickering, and Conor Pickering. Visitation is scheduled from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 3070-275A Street, Aldergrove, BC; Graveside Service at 9:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at MacLure Road Mennonite Cemetery, 33965 MacLure Rd, Abbotsford, BC; Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford, BC.
