January 28, 1935 - January 12, 2019
Ian was born on January 28, 1935 and passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2019 at the age of 83 surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in the Land Down Under before moving to Canada in 1970, Ian's upbringing, schooling and experiences moulded him into what family, friends and colleagues knew as a kind, sincere, mild-mannered and respectful man. Devotion to family, dedication to his church, faith, and his service to the community were the foundations of his beautiful and fulfilling life here on earth.
Ian is survived by his wife of 62 years Marie, son Mark (Cindy), daughter Karen (Tim), his adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Lorraine and Yvonne, brother Robert, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, 32860 Cherry Avenue, Mission, BC on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1pm - 4 pm.
If you wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the BC Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers.
The family would also like to thank the caring staff at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital ICU.
