BARKWELL Irene Loretta. May 19, 1928 ~ August 18, 2012. Passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Jake and Helena Friesen, her husband Fred Barkwell and her brother Bert. Survived by her five children Patricia (Norm), Lori (Joe), Austin, Fred, Rick (Holly) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, as well as her brother Don (Bonnie). She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. A memorial tea will be held Saturday, August 25, at 11:00 am at Bradner Hall, 5305 Bradner Road, Abbotsford. Donations can be made in her name to the BC Cancer Society or the Chilliwack Lawn Bowling Association.
