Was born January 10, 1922 and died Oct 6, 2022 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission, BC at the age of 100.
He is predeceased by his wife Lola (nee Dring), mother Emma "Frances" Slack (nee Hallam), father William Stallwood Slack, brothers Edwin (Jeanne nee Howick), Austin, Delmere, sister Eileen (Doug Martin), sister-in-law Vyda Messinbird (nee Dring) and her husband William. He is survived by his sister Grace Lockert, and sisters-in-law Helen Slack and Margaret "Mae" Slack.
In keeping with Jay's wishes there will be no memorial service. His ashes will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Lola at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Grandview, Manitoba.
