CAMPBELL, James Stewart

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of James Stewart Campbell (65) of Mt. Lehman at Vancouver General Hospital, July 4th, 2009. Also known as Hamish. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland to John James Mackenzie Campbell and Jean Stewart Thomson. Immigrated to Canada in 1952. Survived by his wife Martha (Lewis) Campbell. Sons Gavin (Maria), Maple Ridge, Trevor, Abbotsford and daughter Sally, Vancouver. Grandchildren, Christina, Alexandra and Herman Campbell. Sister, Margot Hogg, Victoria. Nephew of Margaret Cathcart, Toronto. Jim graduated from McGill University 1966 in chemical engineering. His company was Alitec Food Consulting. He developed many patents in egg technology and was a contracted employee of Rembrandt Foods Okoboji, Iowa, USA and Vanderpol's Eggs Ltd, Abbotsford. Enjoyed trekking in Nepal and Africa and ran in the recent Vancouver Sun Run. Much appreciation to staff of cardiac care unit, VGH. Dr Graham Wong and nurses. Also Dr. Ann Hanson & nurses of palliative care and Chaplain Cynthia. Service will be July 9th, 10:30 am at St. Matthews Anglican Church, 2010 Guilford Drive, Abbotsford.
