You may not have known Jim, but he made your life a little better through the students he taught, coached and mentored in the Mission school district for over 40 years.
Jim had a passion for photography and enjoyed capturing memories for students, family, and friends. He was an athlete who walked long distances every day in his retirement years.
Jim was a kind, caring man who wanted people to "cherish each other and remember to truly connect with others by talking and actively listening."
Jim and family are grateful for the amazing care of Surrey Memorial's HAU staff during his ALS journey. Jim is survived by his sister, Patti Swanson (James), sister-in-law, Diana, Uncle Dalton Jones, nieces, nephew, and cousins.
True to his humble nature, Jim did not want a Celebration of Life. Jim will be buried in Valley View Memorial cemetery, Surrey, BC.
