It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Pitchers (Boon) announces her passing after a courageous battle against liver cancer on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the age of 63 years.
Jane was born in Mission, British Columbia on April 2, 1955. After completing school and traveling to Alberta for work she met her husband Robert (Bob) in Fort McMurray. They went on to travel and live in British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan and even a short stint in Nigeria before settling in Sherwood Park, Alberta in 1998.
Jane will be lovingly remembered by her children, Christopher (Debbie), Ryan (Nancy), and Cameron (Joanna) as well as her canine companion Gus. Jane will also be fondly remembered by her mother Evelyn; granddaughters Lorcan, Emily, Kira & Alexandria; brothers John (Vayla) and Dale (Doreen); sisters Heather (John) and Kathy (Tom); sister-in-law Betty (Goff); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Jane was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) on December 1, 2017 and her family knows they were happy to be back together to celebrate their 40th anniversary on April 14.
