Jannetta Johnson

On Sunday, September 22, 2019 our much loved sister, mother and grandmother, Jannetta Johnson, age 82, passed away at Mission Memorial Hospital. Jannetta was born in Canterbury, County of Kent, England. The family moved to Canada and settled in BC in 1949. She was a day care provider, went to hairdressing school, worked in a senior's home and was a legal secretary until she retired. She enjoyed knitting, writing, Texas Hold'em and playing cards at the Senior Centre. Jannetta is predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Violet Skelton, husbands, Bill Handy and Tony Johnson. She is survived by her partner, Horst Brunken; brother, Brian Skelton; sister, June Thoms; sons, Gordon (Yvonne), Warren, Paul (Dawn), Lloyd (Kim) and daughters, Wendy (Tom) and Wanda (Walter). She also leaves behind her beloved 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Deroche Community Hall, 41555 N. Nicomen Road, Deroche, BC.
