In loving memory ~
It is with deep sadness that the family of Jean Ella Peardon announces her peaceful passing in Hospital, the morning of December 19, 2021 after a short illness. Leaving many beautiful memories, Jean's story began in Peardonville, a small community within the city of Abbotsford, B.C. Jean fondly remembered her childhood growing up with friends and family within her close-knit pioneer family with parents, Gordon and Lillias Peardon.
She is survived by her brother Stan, 10 nieces and nephews and their families. Jean was predeceased by her dear friends Miek and Bev, and her brother and sister Dick and Mollie and nephew Bruce.
Jean lived life to the fullest and had many adventures throughout her life with the Canadian Army Reserves in B.C. and Ontario. She worked for VIA Rail in Toronto for many years in Reservations and made many friends there. After her retirement she threw herself into her community, the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Auxiliary, Chances Are, the Goodwood United Church and The Aquafit Gang, were at the center of her social and charitable work. She formed so many close friends over the years and also retained old friends from her past. Earlier this year Jean returned to her roots in Abbotsford after 50 years of living in Goodwood. She was enjoying her new life, closer to her family and relaxing- no snow shoveling!
We will miss our Auntie Jean terribly and know that she made her mark on the world. In lieu flowers, please make a donation to the Charity of your choice. A service for Jean will be held at a later date. Memories and expressions of sympathy through First Memorial Funeral Services, Aldergrove, B.C.
