MCLENNAN Jessie Elizabeth. October 25, 1928 - January 13, 2013. Jessie was born in Chilliwack, BC; an only child to parents Colin and Margaret McLennan (nee Peterkin). Jessie's early life began on a dairy farm on the Matsqui prairie. She started school at the Kilgard Elementary School and graduated from the Phillip Sheffield High School in 1947. After completing a business secretarial course in New Westminster, she worked for many years in a local insurance office. Following her diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease in 2003, Jessie chose to live in residential care, first at Ebenezer Home, and then at Bevan Lodge - giving up her love and pride of independent living. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Hazelwood Cemetery.
