TURNEZ; Joanie Oct. 9, 1944 ~ March 30, 2014. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joanie Turnez at the age of 69. She passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Carl and Vera Bell, sister Margaret Bell, and brother Ian Bell. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Vera Lake; Vera's husband Jim, three grandsons Ryan, Tyler and Adam Lake; sister Catherine Bell; nephew Morgan Bell; loving canine companion Daisy and cat Geezer. Joanie was a beautiful person with a huge heart. She would do anything for her family, friends, and any animal. Chapel service will be held Sunday April 6 at 1:00 at the Woodlawn-Mission Funeral home at 7386 Horne St. In Mission. Reception to follow.
