CARMICHAEL, John Fraser
November 9, 1917 - March 15, 2016
Fraser passed away at his apartment in Abbotsford on March 15, 2016. Fraser leaves behind his 4 children: Rob (Judi), Jean (Rick), Drew (Melanie) and Donnie (Danny); 8 grandchildren and their spouses; and 9 great-grandchildren. Joys of life meant everything to Fraser. His family was the greatest part of that but he loved his work and play as well.
He had a lengthy and well-respected career in Agriculture and Horticulture, the majority of that with the BC Government. He always enjoyed the challenges of a good game of curling, golf or cards. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying family camping, hunting, and fishing, as well as international travel with his wife, Marjorie.
Fraser passed on his love and knowledge of horticulture to all of his family and that knowledge carries on in them today. Fraser was known for his compassion towards his fellow human beings, and that was never more obvious than in the past seven years as he provided constant love and attention to Marjorie.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Fraser at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 23rd at Abbotsford's Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fraser's name to Trinity Memorial United Church - online
