KAYSER, John Richard

Sept.15, 1952 - Aug. 31, 2010

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear, beloved husband, father and friend, John Kayser, after what can only be described as an amazing and brave fight against cancer. John was born in Carmel, California and immigrated to Canada after meeting his future wife Carol, who he was married to for 37 years. They had two beautiful daughters, Melissa and Stephanie, who their dad loved so deeply and was so proud of. When Melissa married Roland he gained a son and partner in crime. John also leaves his sister-in-law Diane, brother-in-law Rob and nephew Wyatt, who he shared many fond memories with. John will also be missed by sisters Kathryn and Penny, their spouses Glenn and Joe and extended family Wendy, Patti and Dawn. John proudly served in the Canada Border Services Agency, just recently receiving his 25 years of service plaque. The friendships he made at this second home will last forever. John's sense of fun, the twinkle in his eye and irreverence as well as his loving and generous nature, will be missed by all, but never forgotten. Thank-you to a special man, Dr. Stuart Brown, our friend Irene and the wonderful and caring staff at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital THPCU for their compassionate care of John. God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine"
