KOKOSKA John Adam. May 16, 1931 - May 30, 2012. John passed away peacefully at the age of 81 after a 21 year struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 54 years, Elsie, his son Darryl (Theresa), daughter Jennifer (Kent) and grandchildren Kendall and Colby, as well as many extended family and friends. John was born in Durieu, one of nine children to Anna and Adam Kokoska. He is survived by siblings, Frank (Ruby), George, Annie (Steve), Wanda (Melvin), Halina (Gordon), Edward (Judy), Peter (Bev). He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Regina, brother-in-law Garry and sister-in-law Honey. John was hardworking and dedicated to family, friends and his community. He was well known for his warm smile and blue eyed "winker". The majority of his career was spent in the logging industry where he was well respected by co-workers and crew. In his "spare time" he tended his family farm. John and Elsie loved to entertain. Family and friends have many fond memories of dinners, parties, and dancing to live music on the hardwood floors. All enjoyed the invitation to fish in the trout pond that he created.

The family offers heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Pleasant View Care Home for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Parkinson's Society of BC. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, June 8th at 7:30 pm and Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 32550 - 7th Ave, Mission, BC, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
