WILSON
JUNE, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 in Penticton. She is survived by her brother, Bill Wilson; nephew, Paul Smith (Adrienne); niece, Sandra Morgan (Dale) and many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her twin, Joyce Smith and Dr. Roy Smith, with whom she shared a home in Mission, B.C. prior to moving to Penticton in 2004, and all of her other sisters and brothers from a large and wonderful family of 16 children. June and Joyce trained as RN’s at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. June worked as an outpost nurse in Northern B.C., in public health from the coast to the Fraser Canyon and, before retiring, managed the OR at Mission Hospital. In her later years, she was the tireless caregiver of many family members. In her free time, June loved long daily walks with her dogs, gardening, sports, reading and listening to the BBC into the wee hours of the night. If you needed an update on something, she was the one to go to.
A much loved aunt, source of good books and the latest sports score, her wonderful sense of humour and kind heart will be deeply missed.
