Ken Kirsch, of Abbotsford, B.C. went to be with his Lord at age 77, following a courageous attempt to recover from open heart surgery. Beloved husband of 49 years to Joan, he also leaves to cherish his memory children Carmelle (Dean), John (Rita), and Kristin Lee (Jimmy), grandchildren Zackary, Aidan, Olivia, Madelyn, Kaitlin, and Nikolas, brothers Ivan and Harvey as well as numerous other family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by brother Murray, infant children Michael and Kristin Joan, parents Albert and Florence, and infant grand-daughter Lauren. Ken lived a full and rewarding life, which provided ample subject matter for the many stories he loved to tell. He worked tirelessly to enjoy a successful career, provide the best life for his family, and give back generously to the communities around him. He loved to travel and play golf, and had a passion for gardening, agriculture, and savouring the fruits of a Fraser Valley growing season.
Prayers will take place on Thursday March 4, 8:30 pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave, Abbotsford, followed by a funeral mass on Friday March 5, 11 am at St. Ann’s. Interment to follow at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Edmonton.
