STOWARDS, Kenneth George
Passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2011. Ken was born in Grinrod, BC on April 8, 1922 to Robert & Martha Stowards. He was one of eight children. Ken enlisted and served as an orderly during the war, caring for injured soldiers. Ken married Nora James at Prince Albert, SK in 1946. Throughout their 57 years of marriage they lived in Enderby, Vancouver, Lulu Island, Mallardville, Dewdney and eventually settled on a ranch in Quesnel, BC. Ken will be greatly missed by his children: Lenora Savard, George (Evie) Stowards, Edgar Stowards, Darlena (Wade) Fair and Celina-Ann Brewer. Also 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ken leaves behind numerous relatives & countless friends. Ken was predeceased by wife Nora in 2003. A funeral service was held on March 7, 2011 at Clayton’s Funeral Chapel in Quesnel, BC.
