With great sadness, the family of Leona Gratto, 80, announces her passing on Monday, February 21st, 2022.
As a woman who always prioritized bringing family together, she managed to do just that by leaving behind this world peacefully on Family Day.
Leona is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leonard, her daughters Cindy Corney and Kelly Peakman, grandchildren Travis, James, Trista, Jessica, and great-grandchildren Caiden, Hunter, and Bentley. Leona is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Regina Normand, and son Cory Gratto.
Leona was fiercely dedicated to her family, friends, and community. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend, who spent her life supporting those she loved and contributing to efforts at Silverhill Hall. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in her memory. Please join her family and friends for a celebration of life on May 7th from 2-5 pm at Silverdale Community Hall.
