FORBES; Lucy Irene (RN) (nee Nisbet)
August 21, 1934 ~ June 19, 2014. Lucy passed away peacefully Thursday, June 19th at Abbotsford Hospital after a brief yet dignified battle with an acute illness. Written words cannot express the love and sense of loss felt by Stan, her loving husband of 57 years, by her beloved children, Susan, Kent and Linda and her grandchildren Danika and John as well as her daughter-in-law Barb and her son-in-law Rick. She will be sadly missed but cherished in memory by her four surviving siblings. She is predeceased by her three brothers. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family the Clarks. Lucy was born in Tyne Valley, PEI and although she spent most of her life on the west coast, she was always a true, proud islander. She will always be remembered by her friends and neighbours as a very loving and generous person, who was greatly loved and respected by all. A celebration of life will be held for Lucy in the near future pending final details. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
