CORBIN, Marco. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son Marco Richard Corbin who died suddenly in a tragic accident on August 16th, 2011 at Osoyoos, BC. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Bob Corbin and Elena DiGiovanni; his younger brothers Robbie and Tony; Savannah Penner - his high school sweetheart; his grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, friends' parents, his guitar students, and the many members of the community whose lives he touched. Marco was a 2011 graduate of Heritage Park Secondary, a multi-talented musician, performer, scholar and athlete. He will be cherished forever as a stellar son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to all. He has impacted this community by bringing music, leadership and compassion, and by setting an example of youth actively contributing and making a difference in the world. As the oldest sibling of the Corbin Brothers, he lead the group, playing for numerous charities, fundraisers, talent shows, school functions, private and professional events. The following events are planned to honour his life: Thursday, August 25th Prayers at St. Joseph’s Parish 7 pm, 32550 7th Ave Mission; Friday August 26th - Candlelight Reflection at Woodlawn Funeral Home 7386 Horne St Mission - open between 6 pm - 9 pm, and a community wide Celebration of Life and Musical Tribute on Sunday, August 28th at 2 pm to be held at the Fraser River Heritage Park.
