KRAMER; Maria Suzana "Susi"


Went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour October 25, 2015. Surrounded by her family. Susi was born October 29, 1934 in Amsterdam, Holland to Jan and Else van Wilpe. Susi had one brother Jan who lives in Holland today. She studied to become a nurse and at the age of 19 she went to England as a governess. At the age of 25 she came to Canada for "one year" with her nanning family and subsequently was introduced to Josh Kramer. They were married 10 months later... Susi and Josh made their home in Toronto, and then moved to Vancouver area where they have lived for 49 years. Susi is lovingly remembered by the wonderful foods she created, clothing she made and knit, the unending love that she poured out to her family, extended family and the nursing team from Menno place. Susi has struggled with health issues for the past 26 years, but was always so very cheerful and optimistic! Predeceased by her parents Jan and Else van Wilpe. Her daughter in law Karen Kramer. Her granddaughter Emma Kramer, and her great granddaughter Heidi Kramer. She is survived by her loving family; Husband of 54 years Josh Kramer of Abbotsford; brother Jan Van Wilpe of Holland; daughter and son-in-law Pearl and Paul Mitchell of Okotoks (Mickey, Kelsey & Bowen Mitchell, Jessie, Matt Tyrer & baby, Kody, Tanis Mitchell & baby, Jamie Mitchell); son and daughter in law Will and Julie Kramer of Surrey (William, Shauna, Isabelle, Nicola, Elsie and Marie, Daniel and Melissa Kramer, Christy-Lynn, Kevin and Greyson Collingwood, Jan Kramer); son and daughter in law Bob and Dawn Kramer of Campbell River, (Matthew, Niklaas, Kristoffer and Isaac Kramer, Nikeah, Natasha, Nicole); daughter and son in law Shirley and Paul Weme of Langley (Ken, Chantel, Natalie, Celeste, Brayden and Everle Harder); daughter and son in law Elsa and Willie Jackson of Abbotsford (Bruce and Shannon Jackson, Joel Jackson). As well as her sister in laws, brother in law, nieces and nephew and a huge community of friends and acquaintances. All who knew her have been richly blessed. A Celebration of Susi's life will be held at Menno Place Hospital, 32945 Marshall Road Abbotsford (in the chapel) on October 31, 2015, at 10:00 am.
