December 9, 1926 - August 28, 2020
Passed away peacefully on August 28th at the Worthington Pavilion Nursing Home in Abbotsford at the age of 93 years.
Terry was born on December 9, 1926 in the small town of St. Brieux, Saskatchewan to Noel and Madeleine Tétrault. In 1958 she married Cornelis (Keith) Johannes Schroots and resided in Hatzic Prairie until 2019. Terry loved taking care of her family (especially her grandchildren). She was known to always have a project to sew, knit, or cross-stitch which her family treasures.
She is remembered by her loving family; children Colette (Jack), Lucille (Boyd), Keith (Kristi) and Ted, grandchildren Terra (Nathan) Taylor, Mariah (Tom), Rachel (Ben), Elena and Lily and great grandchildren Matteo and Maëlle and another great granddaughter on the way. Also survived by her brother Paul (Donna), sisters Aline, Annette, sister-in-law Dineke (in the Netherlands), as well as the many nieces and nephews both in Canada and the Netherlands. Terry was predeceased in 2015 by her devoted husband Cornelis (Keith) of 57 years, her brothers John, Edouard, Gilbert and sisters Clemence, Bernadette and Agnes.
The family wish to thank the staff at the Cottage-Worthington Pavilion for the care she received over the past year, and particularly over the past 6 months. Due to Covid the family had a private funeral/mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on September 11, 2020.
